But on the inside, we’re talking the ultimate 750cfm hot rod Tri-Power, with new improved fuel circuits, ported distributor vacuum and a whole lot more. Add our progressive linkage and classic 3-into-1 fuel lines and you’re looking at old school carburetion with next level performance and drivability.

55% more airflow
BIG97s make 55% more airflow than regular 97s – 750cfm for the Tri-Power, making it the perfect bolt-on for your small block Chevy or Ford. Cruise economically on the center Primary, then punch in the Secondaries when you step on the gas.
New power valve circuits improve fuel conditioning
Feeding top end enrichment directly into the emulsion tubes, the BIG97 Primary significantly improves fuel conditioning for more top end HP on less fuel.
New ‘early plenum effect’ boosts top end power
All three carbs allowing all cylinders to draw from both barrels giving you dual-plane drivability with a single-plane style top end horsepower.
Ported distributor vacuum
Switch in the brass plug (supplied) and connect your distributor to improve combustion efficiency in cruising mode. You’ll run smoother and cooler, with more torque and better fuel mileage.
BIG S-jet twin-ball inlet valve
BIG97s accepts big diameter 5/16in hard line (regular 97s take only 1/4in line). BIG style Ford nut compression firings are available, and all our regular Stromberg fuel fittings – hose ends and banjos – all fit.

Add a Chevy linkage – save over $50!
Our 9246PRO progressive linkage combines clean, traditional looks with maximum leverage. It comes pre-assembled and installs in just two simple steps, without the need for extended throttle shafts. Every kit comes with two ‘Snapback’ throttle return springs, which wrap around the end of the throttle shaft and virtually disappear from view. The swivels are positively fixed by a small e-clip, and the black set-screws have knurled ends for a strong fix.

Our classic 3-into-1 fuel line (Big Bore 5/16in OD) for Small Block Chevy (5-1/2in carb spacing to fit Offenhauser and Edelbrock SBC intakes) combines super-clean looks with simple TwoStep installation. Each kit is supplied with special 5/16in Ford Nut compression fittings and CNC-bent 304 stainless lines with leak-free, ‘invisible’ furnace brazed joints. The round-bar fuel block sits down close to the manifold, matching the 4 degree Chevy intake angle to align visually with the valve covers. And for maximum versatility, it has 1/4NPT threads at both ends and a wide range of complementary fittings is available for your fuel line or gauge.
NOTE: All BIG97 Tri-Powers are priced lower than buying the carburetors separately. Our linkage and full line offers are available only on BIG97 Tri-Power in regular OE finish.
NOTE: The Stromberg BIG97 Tri-Power – Black & Chrome are not designed to meet any emission requirements for 1968 and later applications. Therefore, they should be used only for competition/off road vehicles or vehicles not required to comply with late model exhaust emission standards.
