Stromberg Progressive Linkage Back-Bar Kit Fits Edelbrock X1

This Stromberg Progressive Linkage Back-Bar Kit is designed specifically for the Edelbrock X1 6×2 intake and is used with Stromberg TwoStep Progressive Linkage systems to build a complete 6×2 progressive carburetor setup.

Designed and manufactured exclusively by Stromberg Carburetor, these modular Back-bar systems deliver smooth throttle operation, clean traditional styling, and the precision needed for serious multi-carb hot rod applications.

With so many intake designs and carb configurations available, Stromberg engineered their 6×2 linkage systems as modular components, allowing builders to configure the perfect setup for their individual manifold dimensions and driving style.

Every kit comes pre-assembled for straightforward installation without the need for extended throttle shafts. Complete instructions are included, along with setup and tuning information through the Stromberg Tech Center.

Designed For Edelbrock X1 Intakes

This Back-bar kit is configured specifically for the Edelbrock X1 6×2 intake manifold and delivers smooth progressive throttle operation across all carburetors.

The modular system allows progressive linkage tuning for:

  • Two-carb operation
  • Four-carb operation
  • Full six-carb operation

Multiple mounting locations on the Back-bar levers allow throttle response and leverage adjustments to suit your engine combination and pedal feel preferences.

Mechanical Linkage Recommended

Stromberg recommends using a mechanical pedal linkage with all multi-carb systems. Additional linkage arms can be added anywhere along the Back-bar shaft to properly align with your throttle pedal pull point and geometry.

  • Carburetors and intake manifold are NOT included
  • Product photos may show assembled linkage systems for reference only
  • Designed for Stromberg 97 carburetor applications
  • Will NOT fit Holley or Edelbrock 94 carburetors
  • Idle mixture screws on 94-style carburetors interfere with bracket mounting locations designed for Stromberg 97 carburetors
