Stromberg 6×2 Direct Linkage Kit For Offenhauser Pacesetter 3924 Intake
This complete Stromberg 6×2 Direct Linkage Kit is designed specifically for the Offenhauser Pacesetter 3924 intake and includes everything needed from the Back-bar assembly to the carburetor linkage and return springs.
Designed and manufactured exclusively by Stromberg Carburetor, these 6×2 linkage systems deliver smooth operation, traditional looks, and the kind of quality serious hot rodders appreciate. Every kit comes pre-assembled for straightforward installation without the need for extended throttle shafts, making setup cleaner, simpler, and more reliable.

Intake Dimensions
This linkage kit is configured for the following manifold dimensions:
- Carb spacing on each bank: 4-7/8″
- Distance between banks: 9-1/8″
- Offset between banks: Zero
Kit Includes
- Two stainless steel Back-bar brackets with rolled ends
- Oilite self-lubricating bushes
- Two spacer washers for base casting height variations
- Stainless steel Back-bar shaft
- Two stainless steel shaft end stops
- Two long linkage levers with swivels and clamping screws
- Two stainless steel links between the Back-bar levers and center carburetors
- Six 9091K Superlink throttle levers with swivels
- Two special swivels for rod-end mounting
- Two long link rods
- Four Stromberg “Snapback” throttle return springs
Designed For Maximum Flexibility
Stromberg engineered these 6×2 systems for multiple operating configurations and tuning styles. The long Back-bar levers feature three upper mounting locations to help fine-tune throttle response and leverage.
Direct linkage systems can also be configured to operate on:
- Two carburetors
- Four carburetors
- All six carburetors

Mechanical Linkage Recommended
Stromberg recommends using a mechanical pedal linkage on all multi-carb systems. The supplied Back-bar can connect directly using one of the included long levers, or you can add another long lever with Stromberg Kit 9096K for custom throttle pull alignment.
The optional 9096K linkage arm includes:
- Swivel
- Clamping screw
- 3/32″ roll pin
It can also be drilled and pinned directly to the Back-bar shaft for secure positioning.
Important Notes
- Carburetors and intake manifold are NOT included
- Product photos may show assembled linkage systems for reference only
- Will NOT fit Holley or Edelbrock 94 carburetors
- Idle mixture screws on 94-style carburetors interfere with bracket mounting locations designed for Stromberg 97 carburetors
