Stromberg 6×2 Back-Bar Linkage Kit For Offenhauser Pacesetter 3924 Intake
This Stromberg Back-bar linkage kit is designed specifically for the Offenhauser Pacesetter 3924 6×2 intake and is used with two Stromberg 9253PRO 3×2 TwoStep Progressive Linkage Kits to create a complete 6×2 progressive linkage setup.
Designed and manufactured exclusively by Stromberg Carburetor, these modular Back-bar systems deliver the quality, smooth operation, and clean traditional look serious hot rodders expect. Because no two multi-carb intakes are exactly alike, Stromberg engineered their 6×2 progressive linkage systems as modular components, allowing you to tailor the linkage to your exact manifold dimensions and carb spacing.
Each kit arrives pre-assembled and installs in straightforward steps without the need for extended throttle shafts. Full installation instructions are included, along with detailed guidance for measuring, trimming, fitting, and pinning the linkage components to your specific intake setup.
Trim-To-Fit Design
This Trim-to-Fit Back-bar kit is designed for intake manifolds with the following maximum dimensions:
- Carb spacing on each bank: 5-1/2″ maximum
- Distance between banks: 9-1/8″ maximum
- Offset between banks: 1″ maximum
Trim-to-Fit kits include one long and one short Back-bar bracket. The short bracket remains unchanged while the long bracket is trimmed to match your intake offset dimensions.
Kit Includes
- Two stainless steel Back-bar brackets with rolled ends
- Oilite self-lubricating bushes
- Two spacer washers for base casting height variations
- Stainless steel Back-bar shaft
- Two stainless steel shaft end stops
- Two long linkage levers with swivels and clamping screws
- One lever pre-pinned to the shaft
- One adjustable lever drilled for supplied 3/32″ roll pin
- Two stainless steel linkage rods with swivels for connecting the Back-bar to the primary carburetors
Built For Tuning Flexibility
Stromberg’s 6×2 systems are designed to give builders maximum adjustability and tuning control. The long Back-bar levers feature three upper mounting locations for dialing in throttle response and leverage, while the progressive linkage setup allows operation on two, four, or all six carburetors depending on engine demand and tuning preference.

Pedal Linkage Recommendations
Stromberg recommends using a mechanical pedal linkage with all multi-carb systems. The Back-bar can connect directly to your pedal linkage using one of the supplied long levers, or you can add another long linkage arm using Stromberg Kit 9096K. This additional arm can be positioned anywhere along the Back-bar shaft for proper alignment with your throttle pedal pull location.

- This kit requires two Stromberg 9253PRO 3×2 TwoStep Progressive Linkage Kits to complete a full 6×2 progressive linkage system
- Carburetors and intake manifold are NOT included
- Product photos may show a fully assembled linkage system for reference only
- Will NOT fit Holley or Edelbrock 94 carburetors
- Idle mixture screws on 94-style carburetors interfere with the bracket mounting locations designed for Stromberg 97 carburetors
